SR-907 (Alton Road) Reconstruction from 5th Street to Michigan Avenue

Summary of Project:
Project consists of roadway reconstruction of a 5~lane section of Alton Road. Scope of work includes drainage installation, watermain installation, earthwork, asphalt, concrete, signalization, street lighting, landscaping, irrigation, signing and pavement markings and bridge rehabilitation and upgrades. The contract time includes an incentive/disincentive bonus provision for early/late completion respectively.

Our Experience on this project is directly relevant to the West End Avenue Bridge Project in the following ways
- Dense urban environment and high volume traffic and pedestrian roadway
- Performed significant coordination with the FDOT in obtaining approval for various design changes affecting the construction elements
- Extensive Public Involvement coordination due to the amount of business owners throughout the corridor. Coordination was essential to achieve stakeholder consensus on various issues
- Coordinated extensively with the District's Geotechnical Engineers in developing solutions to facilitate construction due to the existing soil conditions throughout the project
- Extensive coordination with the City of Miami Beach to meet the needs of the City and its residents
- Performed detailed sampling at designated locations throughout the corridor to manage the excavation of contaminated soils.
- Coordinated advanced utility relocations to mitigate potential delays.
- If utility conflicts were identified during construction solutions were developed in an efficient and cost effective matter to mitigate potential delays.
- Performed rehabilitation of the Alton Road Flyover Bridge in less than 30 days to accommodate the needs of the traveling public.
- Extensive traffic modeling and observation is continuously occurring to improve signal timing and prevent delays.
- Oversee the complex multi stage maintenance of traffic plan that included both day and night shift work.
- Responded to RFI in efficient timely fashion and provided solutions
